Tibet is a wonderful and mystical land which stands as the “roof of the world”. This autonomous region is the highest plateau on the earth. Blessed with beauty of nature this place welcomes every visitors with its warm hospitality blended with the rich culture and traditions.  
Most of the Tibet is an immense plateau of altitude 4000 to 5000 meters. Tibet is bordered with Sichuan, Yunnan, Qinghai and Xinjiang in the North, Nepal, India, Sikkim, Bhutan Burma and Kashmir from its southern borders. Geographically, Tibet can be divided into three parts: the east, the south and the north. The eastern part covers 25% of the Tibet whereby half of the Tibet includes the southern part which comprise open grassland. The central and southern region also contains major cities of Tibet: Lhasa, Gyantse, Shigatse, Ghatse and Tsetang which are regarded as the center of Tibet and Buddhism.
The main religion of Tibet is Buddhism. Buddhism flourished in Tibet after the king Songsten Gampo, who was married to Nepali princess Bhrikuti. Princess Bhrikuti was the main contributor for spreading Buddhism throughout Tibet. The major ethnic groups of Tibet are Tibetans, Monpas, Lhobas and Muslims. The major festivals celebrated here are ‘Lhosar’ and ‘Saga Dawa’.
Tibet is a land deeply rooted with cultural and traditional values. The mysterical land with the views of “Forbidden Land” is a paradise on earth that undoubtedly provides you an immemorial experience which enchants you with its beauty and warmth.
