Chitwan National Park

Chitwan National Park Established in 1973, Chitwan National Park is one of the best destinations for Jungle Safari. The proximity from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park is very little as a few hours drive or a flight of 20 minutes is enough to reach the destination. You can see various species of birds, plants, and animals including many other flora and fauna. Average altitude of the park is 150 m. from sea level. Autumn and winter season is the clear and the best season to see not only the wild lives around you but also the Himalayas in the distant horizon. Major attraction of this park are Jungle safari (on elephant back ride, jeep safari), jungle walk, river canoying and much more. Another option to experience the park is cycling to go for Elephant breeding centre which  obviously gives you time to explore nature  in a unique way. Crocodile Breeding centre might also intereste many people which is available in this park which is possible in jeep drive passing through the outer circle of the park only.Besides,Horse riding and camel riding  can be used for town visit whereas there are many stops which offers bikes and cycles on hire to roam around the  town.
Every evening the local tribes Tharu community performs their cultural dance such as stick dance, peacock dance and dance with fire which entertains everyone for sure. For religious believers a visit to Devighat  is must.20.000 lakes, the number sounds very huge but yes nature has blessed Chitwan National park with this nature’s gift .In the Buffer zone of the National Park you will come across these lakes.
