River Rafting
Rafting, taken as another essential wing for Nepal Tourism Industry.Rafting or generally popular as white water rafting is taken as an adventure for the lovers of adrenaline rush or simply a recreational outdoor activity . Being rich in water resources, Nepal claims to be one of the best destinations for rafting provided with the number of White Water River sourced out directly from Himalayas. There are eight major rivers in three River system of Nepal Koshi (east), Gandaki (central), and Karnali (west) which are open for White water rafting for tourists (see map). Modern rafts, experienced staff and well maintained equipment make the river rafting safe and adventurous. A beginner can also enjoy grade 2 - 3 Rivers of Nepal. The categories of rivers of Nepal are from grade 1 to 5+ category. Following are few detail information about grades of river extracted from internet. Grade 1: Very small rough areas, might require slight maneuvering. (Skill Level: Very Basic) Grade 2: Some rough water, maybe some rocks, might require some maneuvering. (Skill level: basic paddling skill) Grade 3: Whitewater, small waves, maybe a small drop, but no considerable danger. May require significant maneuvering. (Skill level: experienced paddling skills) Grade 4: Whitewater, medium waves, maybe rocks, maybe a considerable drop, sharp maneuvers may be needed. (Skill level: whitewater experience) Grade 5: Whitewater, large waves, large volume, possibility of large rocks and hazards, possibility of a large drop, requires precise maneuvering. (Skill level: advanced whitewater experience) Grade 6: Class 6 rapids are considered to be so dangerous as to be effectively unadvisable on a reliably safe basis. Rafters can expect to encounter substantial whitewater, huge waves, huge rocks and hazards, and/or substantial drops that will impart severe impacts beyond the structural capacities and impact ratings of almost all rafting equipment. Traversing a Class 6 rapid has a dramatically increased likelihood of ending in serious injury or death compared to lesser classes. (Skill level: successful completion of a Class 6 rapid without serious injury or death is widely considered to be a matter of great luck or extreme skill) Safety first Wild Yeti takes the safety of its clients very seriously. All our guides are licensed, with many years of experience on the rivers of Nepal and other European countries. All are trained in CPR, First Aid and advanced river rescue techniques. For any additional supports, Wild-yeti always coordinates with the experts.Before starting the trip everyone is briefed about the simple techniques required for rafting right way of paddling, right positions and all the way the raft guide gives instructions to the rafter team.

The river rises near Tibet and is joined by the Bhote Koshi just to the downstream of Barbesi. Most raft trips start at Dolaghat. The Sun Koshi flows eastwards in Nepal through the great valley between the Mahabharat Lekh Mountains and the Himalayas.
