Lobuche East Peak Climbing

Lobuche East Peak Climbing

Lobuche Peaks are very spectacular with altitudes 6,119m (east peak) and 6,145 (west peak). Offering various existing routes, both the peaks are connected by a continuous ridge, though having considerable gap and distance. Lobuche East is one of the most challenging for the commercial

climbers. After the magnificent mountain flight to Likla, we follow to Dudh Koshi valley heeding towards the Namche Bazaar. Ascend gradually and follow the Gokyo trail passing rhododendron forest, encountering the elusive musk deer and yak grazings, we reach the Gokyo lake. There we climb the Gokyo peak (5,480) enjoying fabulous mountain sceneries including Mt. Everest, Mt Makalu and Cho Yo. After the Cho La Pass we reach the base camp. Steepness and icy slopes makes the route bit more challenging that demand technical expertise in the climbers. After scaling the Lobuche Peak we continue towards Gorak Shep and climb Kala Patthar (5,545 m) to close up with the Mt. Everest. Return from the Kalapatthar follows magnificent sceneries and monasteries.
