Kathmandu Durbar Square:

 

Kathmandu Durbar Square is also known as Basantpur Durbar Square which is situated in the central part of the Kathmandu valley.The durbar square is also presently known as hanuman dhoka, a name derived from the statue of hanuman, near the entrance of the palace. It includes the palaces of Mallas and Shah kings who ruled over the city.


 

Soyambhunath:

Soyambhunath is one of the historical places of Nepal, which is situated in the west of Kathmandu valley on a top of a hill. Soyambhunath is a Bhuddhist temple which is also known as "Monkey Temple" as monkeys are found in the northwest of the temple. Soyambhunath consists a Stupa and many different shrines.

Bhaktapur:

Bhaktapur is an ancient Newar town which is situated in the north of Kathmandu valley. It is located in Bhaktapur District. Bhaktapur refers to the "City of Devotees" in sanskrit and it was once capital of Nepal in ancient time. Bhaktapur has many historical places from which numbers of places are still unexplored.

Baudhanath:

Baudhanath is one of the most holiest places in Kathmandu valley. The huge circle makes Baudhanath one of the largest spherical stupas in Kathmandu and it is also one of the largest stupas in the world. A large number of refugees from Tibet has constructed of over 50 Tibetan Monasteries around Baudhanath.

Patan Durbar Square:

Patan Durbar Square is also one of the most historical places in Kathmandu Valley which is located in the center of Lalitpur District. It is among the 3 Durbar Squares of Kathmandu valley. It was once the Royal Palace of the Malla Kings of Lalitpur. There are three main courtyards in this palace, Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk, Keshav Narayan Chowk.

Pashupatinath:

Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most important and holy Hindu temples of Lord Shiva in the world which is located in the banks of Bagmati River. It is situated in the eastern part of Kathmandu Valley. Pashupatinath Temple is the oldest Hindu temple in Kathmandu valley. It is named after "Lord of Animals".

Nagarkot:

Nagarkot is one of the most beautiful places in Kathmandu Valley which is situated in the east of the valley. It is a village located in Bhaktapur District. It is specially known for the sunrise view of the Himalaya including Mount Everest and other snow-capped peaks.

Dhulikhel:

Dhulikhel is the administrative center of Kavrepalanchok District which is situated in the southeast of the Kathmandu valley. Dhulikhel lies along the B.P. Highway and Arniko Highway. It is located near Himalayas at 1550m above sea level. Dhulikhel is specially famous for one of the best drinking waters in Nepal.

Pokhara:

Pokhara is the second largest city of Nepal which is situated in west of Kathmandu valley. It is a sub metropolitan city and headquarter of Kaski District, Gandaki zone and also the capital of geographical Central Nepal. It is also known as the Tourist Capital of Nepal as it is the most famous tourist destination of Nepal because of its beauty and also three out of ten highest mountains in the world can be viewed very closely from Pokhara.

Namo Buddha:

Namo Budhha is a place where Buddha offered his body to a starving tigress to feed her, according to Buddhist belief. It is located in the southeastern part of Kathmandu valley. Namo Buddha is a sacred place for Buddhists and many pilgrims.

Chitwan National Park:

Chitwan National Park is the first National Park of Nepal which is also recorded in World Heritage Site. Chitwan National Park is located in the Inner Terai Lowlands in Chitwan District. You can enjoy the varieties of animals, birds and beautiful scenerio of the forest.

Daman:

Daman is village which is situated in the central part of Nepal in Makwanpur District. It is specially known as the place for finest view of Himalayas like Dhaulagiri in the west and Everest in the West.
